A Brief Club History

With the help of willing parents Callowbrook Swifts was launched on 30th. April 1996 by Club President, Steve Rudge.

Our first season ended with a record of 1 win, 2 draws and over 20 defeats and we were the butt of many jokes.

Gradually, over the last few seasons, we have seen Swifts gain many honours, which is a testament to all of our volunteers who work so hard.

2001 was a milestone in the club's history as we gained the prestigious FA Charter Mark at Development level.

2002 / 2003 saw the club's first girls football team, starting at Under 14's level, whilst 2005 / 2006 saw another girls team at Under 11's level who are playing their first competitve football this season at Under 12's level.

Callowbrook Swifts can now compete with the best teams, both locally and nationally, and we can boast no fewer than 16 teams in our colours for the 2006 / 2007 season.  We celebrated our 10th. anniversary in April 2006.
